HWTT in its 5th
Anniversary and 4th Annual Event presented a
Dance Event called BAILAMOS, with a
Venezuela Latin Band La UNICA with 18
musicians, who brighten up two nights of
Event and caused a great expectation in the
National and International community, in the
Crowne Plaza Hotel of Trinidad and Tobago.
Again the economical support of the
International and National Business
Community made it possible.
At this event HWTT gave the Orchestra MI
Swaco of St. Augustine, the opportunity to
play there Classical Music during dinner,
performs live by Trinidadian children. And
also an enjoyable Mexican performs from
Mariachi Jose Guerra.
During
the last trimester of the year 2005, HWTT
dedicated its time, selling 2006
Calendars in order to create fund to
support the Health Project Programme for the
year 2006.

On the 22nd of November, HWTT launched its
Second Movie Premier of the film HARRY
POTTER IV this were also to accomplish
efforts to be able to create a Fund of the
Infant Health Project 2006.

4/11/2004 HWTT Annual Event focused on Peru
presenting a four day culinary gala
“PERUVIAN CULTURAL & GASTRONOMIC FESTIVAL
“UN PERU PARATODOS”.
“Un Peru Para Todos” delighted Trinidad and
Tobago with their culinary and cultural
performance. This was composed of 3 Chef’s
from the Restaurant “Señorio de Sulco” of
Peru and the Folkloric Dance group formed by
16 dancers and musicians
Once again for our event, we counted with
the financial support of private, national
and international companies.
HWTT specially invited the students of the
Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism
Institute to this event to give them the
opportunity to share the experience and
learn with the Chefs from “El Señorío de
Sulco Restaurant” of Peru.
On the event there were exposed Typical
Handicrafts displayed from Peru and
presented by and expert Professor of Inca
Art.
And as part of our education work with NALIS,
HWTT offered a free presentation of cultural
Group to 100 children from a public School
of Port Spain of this event that took place
at the National Library in Port of Spain.
On December
7, HWTT launched a movie premier for the
first time “Christmas with the Kranks”,
to raise funds for a child’s surgery whose
name is Raquel Sankar10 years of age who
suffered of a “Vaginal-Rectum-Fistula”.
In 2004 HWTT
Annual Event focused on Peru presenting a
four day culinary gala “UN PERU PARATODOS”
that was composed of 3 Chef’s from the
Restaurant “Señorio de Sulco”. In addition
to Peruvian gourmet food, the Folkloric
Dance group
“Un Peru Para Todos” formed by 16 dancers
and musicians delighted Trinidad and Tobago
with their cultural performance. On the
event there were also a Typical Handicrafts
displayed from Peru and presented by and
expert Professor of Inca Art.
Once again, in support of this event, we

Vital Signs Monitor Units plus equipments
that have been required by the San Fernando
Neo-Natal Unit and also the Port of Spain
General Hospital, and as part of our
education work with NALIS, HWTT offered a
free presentation of cultural Group to 100
children from a public School of Port Spain
of this event that took place at NALIS
principal Sede in Port of Spain.
In this same year on December 7, HWTT
launched a movie premier for the first time

HWTT presented the Sankar family with a
significant contribution that assisted the
family with the surgery expenses, they
incurred in March 2005. The surgery was a
success and the child is recuperating.
Another proud moment for all HWTT members
had been added to our memories of social
work.
With the proceeds from the Peru event, HWTT
donated during the first quarter of 2005
Vital Signs Monitor Units plus equipments
that have been required by the San Fernando
Neo-Natal Unit and also the Port of Spain
General Hospital.
Hispanic Woman in Trinidad and Tobago
promotes their culture of the member’s
countries of origin through cultural events
while raising funds for charities targeted
each year.

In the year
2003, HWTT in its second Annual Event
brought from Venezuelan the National Youth
Orchestra to Trinidad and Tobago, with the
support of several local companies from the
private sector and some institutions from
the public sector. This event allowed 117
musicians ages 12 to 18 to display their
talent and the work of the FESNOJIV
Foundation under the direction of Dr. Jose
Abreu.
While promoting this event, we supported the
Maraval Rotary Club in the launching of the
new T&T foundation “Empowerment through
Music” which promotes music to Trinidadian
youths under the same scheme as the
Venezuelan orchestra and is under the
direction of the FESNOJIV Foundation.
HWTT hosted a fundraising event Bazaars and
Fashion Show, where we have promoted the
clothing industry of Trinidad, Argentina,
and Venezuela among others.

Our first
project consisted of the promotion of our
language, Spanish. “Spanish Storytelling” in
conjunction with the National Library of
Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS). “Spanish
Storytelling” takes place twice a month on a
Tuesday during the school calendar year.
During this activity Spanish is introduced
to primary school children through
presentations depicting typical Hispanic
countries tales/stories, culture and
geography.
