HISPANIC WOMEN IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO (HWTT) is a non-profit organization that raises funds to help the needy in Trinidad and Tobago, with a special emphasis on education and children’s health.

Hispanic Women in Trinidad and Tobago's members come from several Spanish speaking countries and Caribbean islands.

News and Events

21/10/2005 - BAILAMOS
HWTT in its 5th Anniversary and 4th Annual Event organized a Dinner and Dance event in its celebration called BAILAMOS, with a Venezuela Latin Band La UNICA with 18 musicians in the Crowne Plaza Hotel of Trinidad and Tobago.
 


22/11/2005 - Movie Premier
HWTT launched its Second Movie Premier of the film “HARRY POTTER IV”


04/11/2004 “ -  Peruvian Cultural & Gastronomic Festival”, “Un Peru para Todos”.
HWTT Annual Event focused on Peru presenting a four day culinary gala “UN PERU PARA TODOS”.
“Un Peru Para Todos” delighted Trinidad and Tobago with their culinary and cultural performance. This was composed of 3 Chef’s from the Restaurant “Señorio de Sulco” of Peru and the Folkloric Dance group formed by 16 dancers and musicians.


7/12/2004 - Movie Premier
HWTT launched a movie premier for the first time  “Christmas with the Kranks”


25/10 2003 -  VENEZUELA YOUTH ORCHESTRA EVENT
HWTT in its Second Annual Event presented from Venezuelan the National Youth Orchestra to Trinidad and Tobago, with the support of several local companies from the private sector and some institutions from the public sector.


05/10/ 2003  -  Bazaar and Fashion Show
HWTT hosted a fundraising event Bazaars and Fashion Show, promoting the clothing industry of Trinidad, Argentina, and Venezuela among others.


2001-2006  - “Spanish Storytelling”
These sessions have been offered since November 2001, at the Children Section of National Library which is located at corner Hart and Abercromby Street, Port of Spain.

Our Health Project

Health Children’s Program:
“THE HOPE OF A MIRACLE”

Hispanic Women in T&T has formed a partnership with “International Kids Fund” (IKF) www.internationalkidsfund.org a Program of the Jackson Memorial Foundation of Miami sice the year 2005, with the purpose of providing medical help to critically ill children, which treatments or technologies are not available in Trinidad and Tobago.


Sponsors & Donations

After five years working, HWTT has donated approximately 612,000.00 TT $ , equivalent to US$ 97,000.00, destined to the Education and Infant Health sector in Trinidad and Tobago, work that give us profound human satisfaction. This section is dedicated to all Sponsors whose support made fundraisers a reality over the past last years and have shown confidence in our organization.
